Big Project Progress

Over the weekend I brought the school camera with me to Maine so I would have some mountains to photograph seeing that there is not really any in or near Gloucester. I took hundreds of pictures from all different angles of many different mountains but these three pictures are probably my favorite three and the ones that I am going to put into my presentation. The reason I chose to do landscapes of Mountains rather than something that would be easier like oceans or buildings or something that would be easy to do in Gloucester is because I think mountains are such amazing land forms. They are beautiful  and majestic but at the same time intimidating and deadly. Something about them just intrigues me and I have always loved mountains maybe for that reason.

The first photograph I took was next to the lake a few minutes from my cabin. I actually walked onto the lake to take this photo and you can see the snowmobile tracks on the ice from people snowmobiling on the lake. The mountain in the picture is mount Christopher and it is probably one of my favorite mountains because I have snowmobiled to the top and hiked it and The sights from the top are magnificent. The second photo is actually the same lake just the other end of it. I drive by that house on the top of the mountain quite a bit when I am in Maine and I always stop to admire it and when taking this picture I stopped my car in the middle of the road and got out to find the right angle to take this picture. Luckily no cars came by so I got to take my time taking it. The third photo was also taken by me parking in the middle of the road and I tried to make the road a leading line into the mountains that were really far away.
