These are the last photos I tried to upload for my project but I had great difficulty putting them on my power point because the image size was to large and I do not have photo shop to fix it so I posted them here. These are pictures from my trip to Utah in 2012 and again in 2013.

Big Project close to conclusion
For the last couple slides of my big project I have already used all of the pictures I took in this class so I am going to go home and look through old pictures that I have taken from my trips to Arizona and Utah and see if there are some good photos I can use to finish my presentation.

Big project
I have not been able to make a lot of progress on the project this week but I did get these two pictures both in Maine. Since Gloucester does not have any mountains or any exciting land forms I have to go far away to find good pictures of what I want to photograph. The first picture is of lake Christopher which is a few miles away from my cabin in Maine. The second picture is of Sunday River, the ski resort, when I first got there at 7 in the morning before I went snowboarding all day.

Big Project Progress
Over the weekend I brought the school camera with me to Maine so I would have some mountains to photograph seeing that there is not really any in or near Gloucester. I took hundreds of pictures from all different angles of many different mountains but these three pictures are probably my favorite three and the ones that I am going to put into my presentation. The reason I chose to do landscapes of Mountains rather than something that would be easier like oceans or buildings or something that would be easy to do in Gloucester is because I think mountains are such amazing land forms. They are beautiful and majestic but at the same time intimidating and deadly. Something about them just intrigues me and I have always loved mountains maybe for that reason.
The first photograph I took was next to the lake a few minutes from my cabin. I actually walked onto the lake to take this photo and you can see the snowmobile tracks on the ice from people snowmobiling on the lake. The mountain in the picture is mount Christopher and it is probably one of my favorite mountains because I have snowmobiled to the top and hiked it and The sights from the top are magnificent. The second photo is actually the same lake just the other end of it. I drive by that house on the top of the mountain quite a bit when I am in Maine and I always stop to admire it and when taking this picture I stopped my car in the middle of the road and got out to find the right angle to take this picture. Luckily no cars came by so I got to take my time taking it. The third photo was also taken by me parking in the middle of the road and I tried to make the road a leading line into the mountains that were really far away.

Big Project Post
These three pictures of mountain landscapes I took over Christmas vacation with my phone. The first and the last photo were taken near my cabin up in Maine standing on top of a cliff and looking at the whole valley below and the second or middle photo was taken at Sunday River on Jordan peak. You can see the lift lines on the right side of the picture. The only hard part about taking these photos was freezing my hands of by taking them out of gloves to get the picture I wanted and then hiking through a good amount of snow to get to the right angle. So far my big project is turning out to be more of an adventure to get cool shots that I like and I am enjoying this project right now.

First big project post
This is the first picture I took for the big project assignment. I took this picture December 1st but for some reason never got around to uploading it until now. You can see the mountains in the background of the picture through the tree that I climber up to take this picture.
I tried to resemble on of Whit Richardson's photos with this picture by making the tree near me sort of the focus but you can see the mountains in the back behind the tree like the image of Whit Richardson's below.

Natural light post Assignment
The natural light portraiture was not one of my favorite assignments at all. I do not really see how taking a picture of someone close up and in light can turn out to be a beautiful picture. This is just my personal opinion of course but I think pictures of nature and images with majestic backgrounds look much better. Here are the pictures I took for this assignment though.
